T Minus 84 days....

84 Days. That’s how many days we have left in our first house. Our journey to "Going Country by the Beach" is soaring into 3rd gear now, with trying to find our "country" home, but the process so far has been less than favorable.
**Throughout the blog, you'll see some houses we are considering, in no order of favorites**

 **Over an Acre of land**

We are not hermits. We like to go out and have fun (when we can) but when we are in the sanctuary of our home, we want it to be just that… our sanctuary. The more houses that were built, the less it was that. We are somewhat quiet people. We don’t mow our lawns at 7:30 in the morning. We don’t slam every one of our car doors at midnight. We definitely do not play loud music so the people on the next block over (thru the small lake and trees) can have a sleepless night feeling our loud bass making their walls shiver. That is just not us.

So we made our decision and put our house up for sale. Now mind you, Tim and I are private people. We don’t like to "Dish our dirt", and I don’t think he, or I, realized just how

this was going to be. By "this" I mean… We had 1 open house. For 4 hours, people had an absolute right to be in our house and possibly looking thru our stuff and we COULD NOT be there. This included any of our neighbors that wanted to peek inside. That was extremely nerve wrecking for me. After that… we didn’t have any more open houses.

We did, however, have to leave EVERY time someone came to view our house. We were originally having any time of the day they could set the appt for…but during one work day, we had 2 no shows and 1 that came to take more pics. More Pics??! Really?! I took the pictures with my brand spanking new camera. You won’t get better pictures than that (yes, I’m being modest…OL). That was 3 hours that I couldn’t get back for work, and for what? So we decided during the week, showings could only be after 4:30pm, when I’m off of work.

Do you want to know how that worked out??? It was 3 weeks, almost 4, since we had to go grocery shopping. Having the showings after work meant leaving the house during dinner time! OMG, the money that was spent on going out to dinners is horrendous and NOT like us. Needless to say, we were happy when we finally got a bid on our house! ** NO MORE SHOWINGS!!!**

**Just under an Acre of land**

So that leaves us at 84 days till we move out! Whether we find a house or not…we’re outta here! We can’t pass up the fact that we are getting our bottom dollar. We can’t risk losing these buyers, because we may not get another who will give us our bottom dollar.

We are a quarter of a way thru our process. We just need to find our NEW house. We have found a couple. We have some things to research still…the most important is schools! Madison will be attending school with Joey in August, and I’m hoping for a really nice curriculum for their pre-k. One of the houses we are looking at is in the top-rated school of our county, so that helps towards decision making. But it’s not our #1 choice for location. We’ll get there!

***UPDATE***And as soon as I'm done typing this... I get an email notification of a new property that came on the market today, that meets almost every single one of criteria.... Land, Schools (Top-rated in the county), LOTS OF LAND!! LOL. Tim's going today to look at it. The price, the land, the location... NO ONE will scoop this up from us (if it's right for us)! <Enter mean 'grrrrrr' face here>

7 Freaking Acres of land! An absolute dream house for me and for Tim! 3 bedrooms PLUS office space for me! This could be our forever home!
